A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. is a Binational Center located in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, it was founded as a non-profit association in 1963 at the initiative of a group of Argentine professionals. Its aim is to promote the U.S. English language, the exchange of ideas, knowledge and the reciprocal learning of cultures from Argentina and the United States of America, as well as fostering the cultural and educational exchange of teachers and students.
The management of A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. is run by an Executive Board whose members are chosen in an Ordinary General Meeting among the active members of the Institution. This Executive Board is in charge of setting policies and the course of action by mutual agreement of all of its members.
The Cultural Management of the Association is supervised by a director appointed by the Executive Board. This person is responsible for promoting the cultural diffusion and also practices the Academic Management of the Binational Center.

Since its foundation, this institution has developed a constant cultural activity that promotes the voices of both Argentine and U.S culture. Through time, A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. has become the only cultural, educational and informative center in our city.
The main goal of A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. is to encourage the learning of the history, language and main manifestations of U.S. culture. To do so, A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. has an academic office and courses with the aim of teaching the English language, catered to all ages and needs.

The courses we offer are organized and tailored taking the most advanced methodologies into account. We employ a group of teachers with vast experience in teaching English as a foreign language who are highly engaged in their professional work. They have access to many different resources.
In order to maintain the quality of teaching, A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. makes the commitment of offering its teachers a constant training service from the premise of reflection, analysis, investigation and teamwork to improve the service we offer to our community.

The cultural Affair Section of the United States Embassy is deeply involved in this commitment. A.C.R.I.C.A.N.A. is helped with the participation of North American professionals in education and specialists in teaching of this second language to train our personnel.
